Food Photographer of the Year 2015

Well last night was great fun I attended the Pink Lady Apples International Food Photography Competition prize giving in London and came away as Food Photographer Of The Year 2015 (food bloggers)!! So this was my image and below are the comments made by the broadcaster and chair of the judges Jay Rayner who also presented the prize.

These loaves of sourdough bread look very similar to meringues – with the baker in the background, his job done. It’s old fashioned artisanal cooking, The loaves look as though they have been knitted.” (Food Bloggers: Michael Nowill – Handmade)

The Competition this year attracted almost 7000 entries from 159 counties around the world so I feel fantastic that one of my images has made the grade !!

Claire and Andy at The Hotel Du Vin York

I have worked with Claire for a number of years so it was great to help her and Andy on their big day at the Hotel Du Vin inn York . The weather was kind to us apart from a mysterious strong wind that arrive as we went into the garden !! The Hotel’s french van was a great prop for friends and family photographs.
